CS professor: manual coding will become secondary for the vast majority

A computer science professor argues that while legacy-code and regulation-heavy industries (mainframe and Fortran still live) will lag, manual coding will become secondary for the vast majority of developers. He adds that RL policies already stabilize fusion reactor plasma better than hand-engineered controllers, and agrees AI coding adoption is accelerating faster than skeptics expect.
