Viral Minecraft bitflip 'end portal' video debunked: palette compression makes it impossible
mike64_t · x · 2026-09-27
mike64t posted a detailed teardown of AtomicFrontiers' viral 'radiation bitflip opens an end portal' Minecraft video, calling it blatant fake or deeply misleading. Key argument: Minecraft's palette compression stores local pseudo-IDs indexed to the blocks actually present in a chunk, not global IDs — flipping a bit can only cycle among blocks already in that chunk, so a stone-and-air chunk can never produce anything else. The video's nucleotide-style state-transition table and second-monitor memory readout are therefore mechanically impossible, and the claimed outcome couldn't happen in pre-flattening 1.12 'for about a billion reasons'.
