SOhEigeartaigh argues that recent AI safety incidents are only barely discussable because they involved OpenAI rather than Anthropic. Even with OpenAI — where discourse is already chaotic and often dismissed as a marketing ploy — rational conversation is hard; had it been Anthropic, whose brand is built on safety, any similar incident would have made rational discussion completely impossible.
