Open Source AI Demand Rising: Consumer Compute May Be Scarce by Q2 2027

Adrian Dittmann argues demand for consumer compute shows no sign of slowing. Open source AI is becoming more compelling, and technical people outside the AI space are rapidly waking up to this. He predicts that by Q2 2027 they will be scrambling for compute, as the models available then will be worth the cost.
