Two-thirds of IT leaders cite measurable AI results, but only 8 of 160 would call the CEO

At a Las Vegas session, tech entrepreneur Azeem Azhar polled 160 IT VPs: two-thirds raised their hands when asked if they had measurable AI results, but only eight said those results were good enough to interrupt the CEO's summer vacation. The gap captures where enterprise AI really stands — broad quantitative output, little strategic weight — and sits at the heart of the AI bubble debate over whether massive investments are justified at this pace of progress.
