In the same thread, Yacine argues that most software writing isn't novel but uncreative grunt work — plugging configs together and fixing regressions in "a glorified horseshit delivery pipeline." Even the "novel" things, like a notification pipeline, have obvious parameters that frontier models with the right guidance could search to drive costs down to the bare minimum.
