Researcher pushes back: pretraining maps to evolution, post-training to online learning

Responding to Joseph Jacks' claim that "the pre-training/post-training divide does not exist in biology" and that current AI works little like biology, researcher Aran Nayebi disagrees: pre-training is analogous to evolution, post-training to online learning with feedback — both carried out by networks of neurons trained to behave.
