Google's Suncatcher to test TPU radiation tolerance on prototype satellite via SpaceX

Google's Suncatcher project partners with Planet to launch a TPU-equipped prototype satellite on SpaceX's Transporter-18, testing whether TPUs survive launch and orbital radiation. Two more are planned for 2027, and its paper sketches an 81-satellite cluster — but for now the orbital data center remains a radiation test.
