Anthropic: Claude computes nine-loop scattering amplitudes, breaking the eight-loop record
LucaAmb · x · 2026-09-26
Anthropic's Science Blog reports Claude pushed past eight loops in planar N=4 super-Yang-Mills, the previous record set by SLAC's Lance Dixon and collaborators, answering physicist @4gravitons' challenge. Scattering amplitude calculations grow exponentially with each loop and usually stop at two or three; researchers say this could revolutionize fields like QCD phenomenology.
