Alibaba's T-Head unveils Zhenwu V900 chip: 216GB per card, sales in Q1 2027

At Apsara in Hangzhou on September 22, Alibaba addressed a key question: where will 2027 training jobs run if the newest Nvidia cards are unavailable? Its chip unit T-Head (PingTouGe) unveiled the Zhenwu V900 accelerator with 216 GB of memory per card. Over 1,000 cards will work as a single supernode, and a cluster can scale up to 500,000 cards, with sales planned for Q1 2027. CEO Eddie Wu also set targets of over 20 GW of Alibaba Cloud capacity by 2032 and models with 5–10 trillion parameters — building the domestic stack so jobs can still run if foreign licenses are denied.
