Gemini Ultra power user says removal of split-screen Canvas may push him to Claude Pro

A Google AI Ultra subscriber reports that removal of the persistent side-by-side Canvas view (chat pinned left, document editor right), plus tool-execution timeouts when a Gemini Notebook is attached in Pro/Deep Think, has severely degraded his intensive document workflows. He is asking Google to restore a split-screen dock toggle for Canvas and says he may switch to Anthropic Claude Pro as his primary platform.
