Leaked details suggest OpenAI will expand its Ultrafast API to more users after DevDay, adding a Speed selector (Fast / Standard / Ultrafast) to the Responses API Playground. The Ultrafast model was previously limited to select partners.
A $500 ChatGPT Pro Max plan promising the "fastest" responses was also spotted, signaling OpenAI is heavily investing in inference infrastructure — potentially enabling real-time computer use agents if pricing allows.
