Arguing that "vibe coder" is unfairly flattened into "non-coder," the author proposes four types:
- Observer: no coding knowledge, no specs, fully LLM-reliant, happy as long as it works
- Muser: rough idea, minimal instructions, lets the LLM roam, nudges occasionally
- Architect: barely codes but invests heavily in blueprints and full schematics, policing the LLM's adherence — the author's own type
- Savant: a real coder giving strict instructions with docs and supplementary code, reviewing and fine-tuning on the fly, using the LLM purely as a production accelerator
