Open-Source Jev Rivals Hit ~15 FPS on RTX 5090, First Benchmark Coming

Open-source competitors to Jev are already out, and TypeSafe itself is reportedly working on a multimodal Jev version. The models do more than OCR — they can answer fairly smart questions like geometry problems — and some reach 15 frames per second on an RTX 5090. A first benchmark of these image-Jev models was slated for release the same day.
