Researcher open-sources DeckWerk, a vibe-coded cross-platform slide editor with Agent support

Researcher Vince Sitzmann announced DeckWerk, an open-source multi-platform slide editor with three headline features:
- Strong video support
- Real-time collaboration
- Agent support
The author says he originally worked on Linux but had to switch to Mac because there was no good enough slide editor; inspired by @OmarchyLinux and @dhh, he vibe-coded his own and is now back on Linux. It's installable from source via GitHub, with installers coming soon.
Commenters quipped "history repeats itself," referencing Steve Jobs introducing Keynote in 2003 — "Keynote is a presentation app for when your presentation really counts... And Keynote was built for me." Independent developers building tools for themselves is playing out again in the AI era.
