Deep learning professor Nando de Freitas: his UBC and Oxford lectures will stay free, forever

UBC/Oxford professor Nando de Freitas (of SiMLM lecture fame) says he decided to never monetise his popular UBC and Oxford lectures, out of a lifelong belief in free education shaped by childhood suffering.
He calls the free course part of his legacy, alongside his past and current startups and AI research, thanking Oxford, the TAs and his students.
