Xeophon argues that gaps between frontier models should be assessed in terms of capability rather than months: at an exponential, a 3-month gap today means something radically different from a 3-month gap in 2024.
He also speculates that public models may roughly plateau at the "Mythos" level, after which all stronger models could stay behind closed doors due to misuse risks.
