Qwen Code /update command breaks sessions and fails to install on Windows

A bug report on QwenLM/qwen-code: on Windows PowerShell, /update downloads the new version (0.24.5 → 0.24.6), force-quits the session, but the upgrade never actually applies — restarting still shows the update prompt, and /quit yields "Automatic update failed", forcing a manual reinstall. The author suggests silent background downloads applied on the next session via qwen or qwen --resume.
