Redditor begs Anthropic not to touch Opus 5.5's current performance

A Reddit user pleads with Anthropic not to change Opus 5.5's current performance in any way, admitting the attachment is unhealthy but arguing the model is already good enough for most work and that his team has built its whole workflow around it with skills, hooks and other models. He welcomes new Sonnets and Opus releases as long as the base stays intact as a fallback. He's pessimistic, though: past experience suggests Anthropic tends to nerf old models to free up compute — he just hopes this time is different.
