Grady Booch: I trashed Galactica and got blocked by LeCun, LLMs are 'unreliable narrators'

Software engineering legend Grady Booch revisited his role in the Galactica backlash, saying he was one of those who 'doused it with vitriol' and would do it again: the model generated coherent-sounding words colored with false and misleading information, dangerous if unleashed at scale. Yann LeCun blocked him for relentlessly saying so.
Booch adds he has never been silent about ChatGPT either, consistently warning that all transformer-based LLMs are at best 'unreliable narrators' and at worst 'generators of bullshit at scale.'
