Vitalik pitches local Qwen AI with 100+ GB of offline data to de-centralize Ethereum nodes and IPFS

Vitalik Buterin sketches a local AI setup running Qwen3.8-flash-next with 100+ GB of locally stored Wikipedia, Gutenberg and science articles, saying removing reliance on centralized IPFS pinning services is a top priority. Jeff Lau adds that the local AI wave could inadvertently create many more local node users, since a node needs only a fraction of local AI's compute and mostly disk space.
