Warp has raised $85M and launched Warp 2.0, billed as the first AI Head of HR. The pitch: in 2024, startups raised $2M and HR cried over state tax and payroll setup; in 2026, one prompt tells the Warp Agent to handle state registration, payroll, benefits, and shipping laptops. The founder says the goal is to make HR human again — HR folks focus on culture and managers, founders on clients and family, and no one pays penalties over a DE 9C form.
