AI builds 50% of a game in one prompt — the last 50% is the actual game

Quoting jurlycat: AI can now build 50% of a game in one prompt, which is exactly why most AI games suck. A creator who can't code iterated on art direction, animation, gameplay and feel to make something real — AI removed the coding barrier but not game design, playtesting, or taste. RachelVT42 adds that early prototypes, even simple puzzle games, remain far from polished after initial prompting and light testing; most people lack standardized testing workflows but that's coming. She expects plenty of gems by 2028 and a golden era of gaming in the early 2030s, like the early 90s.
