Sentry CEO David Cramer pushed back on the "RAG is dead" narrative: a core part of any good agent is context fetching and optimization, and he argued X's tech discourse is far removed from what real businesses actually care about.
Max Leiter agreed, saying he's long held that RAG isn't dead — you've just changed how you do the "R". The takeaway: in the agent era, retrieval hasn't disappeared, it's been rebranded as part of context engineering.
