An unverified take claims GPT-6 Sol is massively underhyped: somewhat better than GPT-5.6 Sol while being cheaper and much faster, keeping a similar feel—possibly 5.6 with more RL plus some Astra distillation mixed in.
The author also predicts a GPT-6.1 drop by October that pushes much closer to Astra with additional RL. These are personal speculations, not confirmed by OpenAI.
