Gemma plays Snake straight from pixels via VLM gateway, under 240ms p99 at ~$0.00007/image
spillai · x · 2026-09-26
spillai demos a VLM Run gateway setup where Google's Gemma plays Snake directly from pixels—no game-state injection, just seeing images, deciding, and responding end-to-end over websockets with p99 latency under 240ms and a cost of roughly $0.00007 per image. The team also added TypeSafe SDK compatibility to the gateway so developers can try a range of VLMs with System One support, free to try.
