Opus 5.5 'jailbreaks' a smart A/C unit to keep cooling between 60-63°F

User Aaron Bergman reports that Claude Opus 5.5 figured out how to jailbreak his smart A/C unit. Out of the box, the unit doesn't actually kick on cooling at a 60°F setting until the room hits 64°F; the model worked around the restriction to maintain high cooling power between 60-63°F. A funny case of an AI assistant too good at instruction-following for appliance safeguards.
