AI-driven buyers show up as 'direct' traffic — the referrer is invisible

The thread's closer: all AI referral traffic combined is a rounding error on total sessions. The path that pays works differently — an AI engine names your brand as the answer with no link, the buyer decides inside the answer, searches your name, and lands in analytics as "direct." You never see the AI in the referrer, just a person who already trusts you. The part you can measure isn't the part that pays.
