In particle physics, scattering amplitudes predict how particles behave; they are notoriously hard to compute, so researchers work with layers of increasingly fine corrections called "loops" — each added loop improves precision but multiplies computation, and most calculations stop at two or three loops. According to the post, Claude can compute up to nine loops.
