Microsoft drops Copilot+ PC branding — new Surface PCs qualify but won't carry the name

Microsoft's "Copilot+ PC" label, introduced in 2024 to mark Windows machines capable of local AI workloads, is absent from the new Surface lineup despite the machines meeting its requirements. Surface corporate VP Brett Ostrum confirmed the new PCs "are not called Copilot+ PCs."
