Microsoft adds Autopilot cloud agent to Copilot, shifts to usage-based billing

Microsoft is overhauling its Copilot app into three sections: Home, Code, and a new "Autopilot" agent. Built on OpenClaw, Autopilot runs continuously in the cloud, monitoring Teams channels and completing tasks autonomously. Microsoft is also switching Autopilot and Code to usage-based billing instead of flat-rate pricing, moving further away from its AI subsidy model.
