At the parody conference SIGBOVIK 2026, researchers submitted "SchmidhubAI: Accurate Historical Paper Attribution" — an AI system that takes any modern AI paper and automatically determines which of its ideas were already published by Jürgen Schmidhuber. The joke riffs on his reputation for claiming priority over nearly every AI breakthrough.
