Amazon blocks Meta's shopping AI agent, plans to block Google's and OpenAI's too

Per TechSpot, Amazon has blocked Meta's agentic AI shopping service and plans to do the same to Google's and OpenAI's shopping agents.
The move escalates the turf war between platforms and AI agents: Amazon refuses to let third-party agents shop on users' behalf, seeing them as a threat to customer relationships and transaction data. For the agent ecosystem, e-commerce giants' resistance is one of the biggest deployment hurdles.
