LunarG's KosmicKrisp passes Vulkan 1.4 CTS on Apple Silicon, 3x faster since 1.3

LunarG announced that KosmicKrisp, its Mesa Vulkan driver for Apple silicon, has passed the Vulkan 1.4 Conformance Test Suite and is now a Khronos-conformant Vulkan 1.4 implementation, shipping in the Vulkan SDK on September 29 and open-sourced in Mesa.
Key points:
- Substantial support added for non-core extensions, including Tesselation, Robustness2, and Multi-draw.
- Driver performance has tripled since reaching Vulkan 1.3 conformance, with optimization ongoing.
- KosmicKrisp acts as the ICD implementing Vulkan on Metal 4, with standard loaders and layers.
- Practical impact: engines can keep a single Vulkan 1.4 codebase across Windows, Linux, and macOS; validation layers and capture/replay tools get a first-class conformant ICD on Mac; the Google Android Emulator and other demanding workloads can rely on it.
