Open-Source iCloud MCP Runs Without a Mac: 31 Tools, Headless Chromium

sjdonado · reddit · 2026-09-25

Developer sjdonado open-sourced icloud-headless-mcp, solving the pain that all existing Apple Notes MCPs depend on macOS AppleScript: your agent can run on a small Linux box and still reach iCloud. Since Notes and Reminders have no API, it drives the iCloud web apps in a signed-in headless Chromium, while Calendar, Contacts and Mail go over CalDAV, CardDAV and IMAP — 31 tools in one server. Setup is just the icloud-mcp command with your Apple ID and an app-specific password; first-time sign-in uses a one-time link in any browser. Deletes, sent mail and note rewrites go through MCP elicitation for user confirmation. Config snippets for pi, Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex and Executor are in the README.
