McAfee: Silicon Valley Has Expanded Beyond Tech Into Cars, Space and Defense

MIT's Andrew McAfee argues the Silicon Valley model has spread across the whole economy: Tesla, SpaceX, Waymo, Netflix, Stripe and Anduril are all products of the US venture-backed startup ecosystem, not legacy firms. In a new Foreign Affairs piece inspired by the Draghi report, he contends Europe's lack of a Silicon Valley is a bigger problem than it appears, since SV is now America's cradle of innovation economy-wide.
