Nvidia's UHP laser demand ramps for December quarter as Spectrum-6 CPO beats plan, says Lumentum

Lumentum management said Nvidia demand for ultra-high-power lasers has risen materially into the December quarter and CY2027, with Spectrum-6 co-packaged optics attach tracking above prior plan. Per Stifel, Lumentum cannot fully meet the incremental December-quarter demand despite ramping as fast as it can — a clear signal CPO adoption in Nvidia's next-gen systems is accelerating and upstream photonics supply remains tight.
