Can a company run on AI agents alone? One founder is testing it with a 5-agent team

A Reddit user is launching a personal experiment: a small company where every role except founder is an AI agent, to test whether "agent-only companies" are real or hype.
The planned team spans five agent roles: a developer building the product, a designer handling UI and branding, a GTM engineer doing outreach and growth, a content writer, and a webmaster managing SEO and uptime.
He wants to find out which roles agents can truly own, where they break down and why, whether agents can hand off work to each other without everything routing through him, and the real cost versus hiring or doing it himself. He expects many failures and plans to post updates, including the flops.
