Slowing AI would require genuine worldwide cooperation—effectively a one-world government with real teeth—which he calls a cure worse than the disease. He dismissed current efforts as "fake global governance" of empty statements and conferences, and flagged the risk of the West slowing while China doesn't: "you can never just turn the clock back."
