Physical AI startup Xirang Kaiwu (息壤开物) closed seed and angel rounds totaling hundreds of millions of yuan at a $500M valuation, led by Dunhong Capital. Founders: Li Yin (ex-CTO of Huawei Cloud's Pangu large model) and Zhang Hanwang (ex-Huawei chief multimodal scientist, NTU professor).
The team is building an LPM (Large Physics Model) pretrained on videos, robot trajectories and real interactions, aiming to fix VLA's per-robot retraining problem. Architecture: autoregressive state-action-next-state first principles on a UnifiedAR Transformer backbone with optional Diffusion for visual generation. Their model RiXin ranked first on Trajectory Accuracy and second on Physical Adherence in WorldArena 2.0 Track1, with early scaling effects observed. XIRR Av0.1 is due later this year.
