Passenger maps Waymo via Uber: 'pull ahead' button caps out at 8 presses

The author booked an Uber and got matched with a Waymo. The driverless car rolled past their apartment's side entrance, ignored a shouted "stop," did a lap, and stopped on the other side. Its "pull ahead" option moved the car only 50 feet per press, and after experimentation the author determined you can press it a maximum of 8 times before the car circles the block and kicks you out in a parking lot across the street.
Their verdict: "I fucking love the future. This was the most fun I've had all day."
