ChatGPT Voice can now use your connected apps — tested live Gmail reads and Drive writes

A Reddit user spotted that after the September 23 update, ChatGPT Voice can invoke the connected apps and plugins on your account mid-conversation.
In a real test, ChatGPT browsed recent Gmail, picked out the important messages and summarized them aloud, then wrote a note into a Google Drive document — all within one Voice session. Voice shifts from "hands-free chat" to "talk while it works across your apps."
Caveats: it only works with supported plugins/connected apps, and existing permissions, approvals and usage limits still apply. Official release notes and app-connection docs are linked.
