AI researcher Anka Reuel joked that two minutes after posting a NeurIPS meme, she got 4 papers accepted to a NeurIPS track, including one spotlight.
She added the result feels bittersweet: given the state of peer review, many great papers get rejected with questionable reviews, so it's hard to know how much to celebrate.
