Vercel Labs released the open-source knowledge-agent-template (1k stars) for building file-system-based AI agents that search your knowledge base with grep, find, and cat — no embeddings, no vector DB. Plug in GitHub repos, YouTube transcripts, or custom APIs and deploy as a chat app, GitHub bot, or Discord bot.
