Cosmic Robotics has installed 11,000 solar panels and signed the largest US builder
Y Combinator · youtube · 2026-09-25
In a Y Combinator feature, Cosmic Robotics explains that much construction is still done by hand simply because the machines to automate it don't exist — a bottleneck for solar farms, data centers, and other critical infrastructure.
The company builds those machines: its robots have already installed 11,000 solar panels and it just signed a major contract with the largest construction company in the US. The long-term vision is autonomous construction on Earth today, and eventually on the Moon and Mars.
