A tongue-in-cheek economics analysis: a fully populated GB300 NVL72 rack weighs 1,580 kg and costs $5M, i.e. $3,165/kg — denser in value than cannabis, near fentanyl, an order of magnitude below gold. GB200 was $4M, GB300 $5M, and Vera Rubin NVL72 is quoted up to $8.8M, 1.75x per generation. Extrapolating, rack value density crosses wholesale cocaine ($12k/kg by 2030) — but racks' 500+ kW power draw, forklift logistics and enforced export controls make them far worse contraband than drugs.
