Robotics startup Feather, founded by @whoishoa and Parsa Bakhtiari, is coming out of stealth with $7.6M in pre-seed funding led by Gradient, with participation from Builder VC, Geometry, SEED Innovations and Virgo VC.
- Positioning: filling the gap between $100k robot systems and cheap robots that don't survive real deployment — an affordable general-purpose hardware platform for builders
- Specs: 1m reach, human strength, 10-hour battery (dual hot-swappable), 360° holonomic base up to 1.3 m/s, 600mm vertical travel
- Price: $29,990 promotional (reg. $32,990), shipping for the past year, available today
- Ecosystem: modular end effectors, swappable onboard compute, built-in teleoperation, IK & collision detection, simulation support, open SDK (Python & ROS2)
