ChatGPT users report days of 'Error in message stream' failures killing long tasks

A Reddit user reports that over the past four days, all three of their ChatGPT accounts (in separate browsers) successively started failing with "Error in message stream," with some chats completely broken. They run 20-30 minute requests for long technical work — research, code, files, calculations — so a stream error at the end destroys the whole task. They also note community claims that Sol 6 feels worse than 5.6, wonder if backend changes are to blame, and worry about a silent downgrade of 5.6.
