Vercel AI SDK to add OpenAI functions support with three UX flows

Vercel's Jared Palmer announced the Vercel AI SDK is adding support for OpenAI functions. The team sees three main UX flows to address: auto-execute the function; auto-execute while showing intent and progress; or execute only after user confirmation. Covering these, he argues, will dramatically simplify building rich UIs for AI agents.
