White House tells OpenAI and Anthropic to run US testing before sharing models with UK agency

Sophia Cai scoops that the White House has asked OpenAI and Anthropic not to share their models with the UK government's testing agency until they pass US testing. "Because they're American companies and this has been our policy with every new frontier model," a senior official said. The sequence: US review, secure US systems, then share with US partners. Anthropic appears to have complied; OpenAI hasn't said.
